About the Service
CRDS is a tailored service provided by Capital Logistics that specialises in ‘big and bulky’ freight nationwide for commercial and residential deliveries, with a two-man crew in completing the final mile delivery covering all major metropolitan areas. This service is an easy to book, yet highly diverse delivery option for those complex final miles.
Description of Service & Inclusions
Capital Logistics CRDS service includes the collection of freight from your collection premises, interstate or local transport to destination hub and final mile delivery with a 2 man or 1 man crew.
The inclusions of the service:
- Collection from origin with a 1 man crew, regular vehicle
- Transit interstate or locally (see transit guide below)
- Call to end receiver to arrange preferred delivery date and 4 hour time window
- Street Level GPS tracking provided to receiver on day of delivery, so that they may live track their delivery on board
- 2 Man crew delivery into home/Business, where safe to do so, and room of choice, if accessible
- 1 flight of stairs (if greater than 1 an accessible lift will be required), where safe to do so with 2 men.
- Instant quote generation via our online system, for all national locations serviced
- Proof of Delivery and Proof of Condition reports
Booking Procedure
Using our user friendly online freight management system, Machship, simply book by creating a consignment as normal and select the CRDS service, then manifest to send through booking before our cut-off time at 11am AEST to have a Capital Logistics driver in your local area to pick up your consignments same-day. If bookings are made after cut-off time 11AM AEST or after hours, consignment will be collected next business day.
Preparing your consignments on Machship – to ensure your shipment is delivered as quickly as possible and to minimise any delays
Please outline all details about your freight (if the consignment consists in greater than 3 individual). You are required to detail description of items and dimensions on the pallet in the ‘special instructions’ field
Special Quotes Instructions
If a consignment consists of more than three individual pieces (consolidated into pallet) – surcharges will apply. Please contact our Operations team on 8562 0029 for a special quotation.
Tracking Your Shipment
From the moment your shipment is collected, you can track it's progress and status online in Machship. if it is urgent or requires escalations please contact our Operations Team on 8562 0029.
Delivery
Please be aware that deliveries take place Monday to Friday business days and hours.
Deliveries excludes weekends and public holiday. Exceptions on weekends can be made on a special arrangement –which will incur additional costs, contact our operations team for this special arrangement.
Maximum Dimension & Total Weight Consignment Parameters
For Capital Logistics CRDS service the maximum limitations for dimensions and weight of goods are:
Individual Piece max dimensions: 299cm Length x 120cm Width x170cm High, up to 80KG per individual piece.
Total consolidated dimensions (if consolidating multiple items together on a pallet): 299cm length x 120cm width x 180cm height, 500kg overall
*If more than one consolidated pallet – please contact Operations team to consult with a special quotation
Individual item parameters on pallet should be no greater than 80kg. If individual item exceeds greater than 80kg, a special quotation is required through our Operation teams on 8562 0029.
Freight Packaging Guide
As a guideline with our packaging standards, items travelling interstate weighing more than 40kg are required to be palletised or on a forklift-able ULD (Unit Load Device) for interstate transit. The Pallet can be removed by our crews before delivery.
RDS Zones & Address Parameters
Capital Logistics CRDS service covers nation-wide through our extensive network of carriers to provide coverage in zones for all commercial and residential metropolitan zones throughout Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide within 120km radius of the GPO. Special services are available also to Wollongong, Newcastle, Canberra, Hobart, Launceston, Ballarat, Geelong and other major hubs.

Allowance for Detention/Delivery Time
15mins delivery time are allowed. If the unloading/delivery time on site exceeds the grace period this will incur in surcharges.
